Construction improvements funded by the 2018 bond are well underway at Kennedy. The bond promises some level of improvement at all schools in the district. More than $12 million is being invested in expansions and improvements at Kennedy.

Work started in June of 2021 and has made steady progress. The growth of the seven-classroom addition and new cafeteria and kitchen can be seen from Noren Avenue. The new bus loop and parking area on the Keizer Road side of campus are complete. Footings have been installed for the new covered play area behind the school, and interior work including seismic upgrades, improvements around the front entry, and renovation of the current cafeteria into a multipurpose space, will continue during school breaks.

Construction will continue through the school year and is on track to be completed in the fall of 2022. Construction can be inconvenient, but the results will be worth the temporary discomfort. Thank you to our staff, students and parents for being supportive and understanding during construction!
